Theatre of the Oppressed in an embodied way to teach and learn about social transformation toward justice. The form is increasingly being used in ministry contexts around the world.

This workshop, sponsored by GRE, is a brief introduction to the theory and practice of Theatre of the Oppressed, including warm-ups, exercises, and basic forms. Participants will learn how to use their bodies to analyze social situations as well as religious and cultural themes in critical, creative, and action-oriented ways.

The workshop will be facilitated by John Falcone, Ph.D., and is being coordinated by GRE’s Tom Beaudoin, Ph.D., associate professor of religion.
